Villain costumes

The idea behind antagonists was to have their identities hidden and have them wear one consistent colour. The chose colour was black and this was the most intimidating of the colours we could use hence our decision. We decided cover the faces of the villains with a black mask that expresses no emotion making for a more creepy and sinister look. This would make our trailer more intense and gripping. The villains also wore balaclavs to completely cover their face and skin complexion which would add to the scary look. We also have them wearing hoodies to help shield their identity, along with black gloves, trousers and shoes, making them barely visible in dark environments.
We wanted the main character to be wearing casual clothes during the trailer. This was simply because he had no time to prepare, he just has to run in order to survive once the villain attacked. Which is why we decided to have the character wearing trainers and jeans. We decided that Converse were a simple enough trainer and black jeans also suited our character more than blue or grey. Furthermore, we wanted our character to wear a hoodie as having his hood up gave the sense that our character had something to hide. We didn't want to use a black hoodie as this would make our character seem to similiar to the villains, we decided to go with purple as we felt that this was unqiue enough a colour to use that could easily be asscioated with our character.
